#500portraits is a series of paintings by Detroit-based contemporary artist Linda Ward. She started the project in November 2017 and completed it in May 2019.

All the paintings are on canvas and painted in groups of 7. Each group has a similar composition and a similar color palette. This was chosen for a lot of reasons such as: exploring color theory and experimenting with compositional drama.
